Society - fostering healthier relationship with the community +

In this module, we discuss the “Big Four” predictors with regard to recidivism; history of antisocial behavior, antisocial personality patterns, antisocial cognition and antisocial associates.

We educate both the individual being released and supportive family members on how these predictors can be managed. We provide education on alternatives to the “old way of thinking” and employ the Thinking for a Change Curriculum as a tool to accomplish this.

We also discuss practical matters which include fostering a healthy relationship with one’s parole/probation officer, choosing friends carefully, engaging in support groups as needed, and avoiding common pitfalls experienced by individuals as they reenter society after a period of incarceration.
