In this module, we take a look at the individual’s definition of family. We work to gain a better understanding of the relationships within the family. When reunification is possible and desired, a plan is constructed to begin that process. We assist the individual with establishing a line of communication with family members whenever possible. We help both the individual and the family recognize that how one perceives the situation may not be how the other perceives that same situation and we work to facilitate understanding between both parties.
